Can't believe it. P0300 & P0302

So, my car had been running rough lately and I figured it was a misfire. I would start it and it would run really bad, so I'd shut it off and wait to drive it until it turned over and ran fine. Every once in awhile, I'd have a CEL come on. I'd turn the car off and it would go away.

I finally decided to spend some money and put some new coil packs and plugs in my car. Called the dealer and picked them up. I went home and put them right in. Car was still idling a little rough. I figured I would get a Vagcom from my friend and scan some codes.

Well before I got to do that, CEL! I just changed my plugs and packs too. Also I just changed the fuel filter. I took it to Autozone and it came up with P0300 and P0302.

What should I do? Do I look at the plugs and mark them and start moving plugs and packs to see if I got a bad pack or plug? Or do I put my old plugs and packs back in to see if that takes care of the problems.

I just want to really know if it's ok to drive my car with these codes. It doesn't seem to run much different than before. Could be because I always had the problem, but the code just stays on now.

Also, how do I reset the code?

P0300 is random misfire detected.
P0302 is cylinder 2 misfire.
so you have done the coils and plugs, next check the wires to the coils for arcing ( a common fault when wire get damaged ), next could be a leaky injector seal and lastly it could be a dirty/bad MAF

most likely your icm, I just had the same problem.....random misfires and cylinder number 2 misfire. I traced it back to the icm and replaced it and now everything is fine. Do you know anyone else with an a4 like yours? If so, it is a two second install, just switch it out and make sure it works.

If it does turn out to be ICM, where do I get one?

How can I check for arcing in the wires if they're all wrapped still?

How can I check for arcing in the wires if they're all wrapped still? in a dark place with engine running you will see any arcing
