Car was finally running great today!!

Well first of all my car is very very moody. I have had a slipping clutch in every gear except 1st for the past 2 months or soo. I also had a split silicone hose that I fixed the other day as well as acracked exhaust manifold that I took off and welded on sunday night. However its still leaking, I think I missed a part of the crack.

Anyways I was driving to work today and stepped on it in first, it holds, then second, its holds, then third, it holds...every gear. I was soo happy so I ended up taking the long road to work and ended up at work 15min late. After work I turned up the boost to 20psi, and headed for the twisties...OMG this car is sooo damn fun to drive, I cant get over it. On the way home from my sisters school, I came up on a 20th aniv gti, we got through traffic, both stepped on it, it seemed like his car was standing still, such a great feeling!!

Anyways it was one of those great days, and I havent really got to test this car out between the little issues and snow or rain. I am a happy man, makes it worth every penny, and every minute I've invested into this car:D

haha, leaving the gti would be a great feeling... reminds me of my vette/transam/camaro days... I could walk most cars that tried to do anything. *sigh* Glad to hear your car is doing well, I can only imagine how nice it must be to have so much power. The only reason I like my v8's is because of the power, obviously the rest of the car is sh*t... but you've got the best of both worlds, for sure.

Do you have a brake upgrade tom? And also, where did you get your short shifter, I read in the classifieds that you love it.

If by software break, you mean give me everything for free, i'd do it in a heartbeat! :)

Im broke as hell man... if any of you know how to own, insure, drive, AND upgrade a 2000 a4 while making 420 a month... you send your idea's my way! ;) 420 a month... thats right. insurance is about 180, gas is about 160, cell phone is 30. I think I have 30 bucks left... seatbelt covers maybe? :)

No brakes yet, I probably took off about half the life of my pads today, they were fading very very fast. I will be getting porsche brakes this summer. Also I let another guy in the Home Brew Crew borrow my ecu for 2 weeks when I wasnt driving, and he sent me a stratmosphere short shifter for free. Its such a nice feeling, I didnt really think it was necessary and was never going to buy one, but it would have been worth the money if I did buy it!

Hmm, do you know a place to get them -- maybe this guy who gave it to you gets them cheap??? When I sell my camaro, I'm gonna put a little money into my car... probably wheels, possibly coil overs, and maybe, just maybe a short shifter.

HAhhah, I know the feeling, I make $0 for 8 months out of the yr, that means I hafta work insane over summer to pay for everything. And also pay off the credit card bills I racked up during school. I've already worked 22hrs this week and its only tuesday:D

Na he got it from stratmosphere.com and hated it so replace it with a b&m. I got it, took a look at it and saw the one bolt was loose which makes it very sloppy tightened it up and its perfect
