It's hard tryiing to mod your car on little or no cash. Last year I bought my 99.5 audi as a step down from a 600 a month car payment. I'm finally caught up with all my surgery bills and finally starting to get the ball rolling on this car.
Tom: The short shifter is a good investment? I'm a pretty good shifter even with the stock shifter. is it really worth it though?

Well the short shifter doesnt really help performance, which normally wouldnt be something I'd buy but it just makes the overall feel of the car more sporty. Alot of ppl actually have great luck with the cheapo ebay short shifters which are like $30. It's a very simply design and you can't really go wrong. I'd probably go that route if I were you

I have nice wheels? I mean, I dont mind them... but I dont love them. I honestly can't afford to go fast... I love to, but just cant. If my insurance was any higher, i'd be car shopping. I want coil overs and wheels, and I'll be happy... with my stereo. If I cant go fast, might as well make it look good, right?
I hear you about the crazy work in summer... i'm used to that, but I have summer classes... and will have august off, thats it. I'll prolly put in a lot of hours in august... but I'll only work 3 weeks, and make around 1500... which is about what I like to keep for a saftey net if something needs fixing... my timing belt is due soon, im at 88 000 km now (54500 mi). I'm doing it myself though, so that free's up some cash...
This thread is depressing... I used to spend spend spend. Now I feel like a hermit.

Hahaha yup always a great feeling, I will be getting my first paycheck in 2 weeks so I can hopefully pay off all my credit card bills, speeding tickets, parking tickets, and debts, as well as buy the southbend clutch. I will most likely install it the day it gets here
