car making noise while idleing, any ideas

Default car making noise while idleing, any ideas

hey guys. my 99 1.8t is making a kinda ticking noise that is noticable. i thought it might need an oil change so i got one tonight but the noise is still there. im gunna bring it to get checked out tomorrow but i kinda wanted an idea of what u guys might think it is. any ideas r greatly appreciated.

Its probably just your valves ticking, happens over some time.

Yeah change your oil would help, and a engine clean flush. I usually put some automatic transmission fluid in my oil, cleans the parts nicely, and will stop your valves.

thats what i thought too so i got my oil changed last night and there was no difference. but i went to the local shop and they said they think its a belt, so he put some oil on it and it sounds a little better. i think i just need to change a belt or two. thanks for ur help tommyl
