There's a couple things you could do.
1.) If your car is any pearl coated car. It's definatly going to have to get sprayed.
2.) If not, run your finger nail accross the scratch. If it goes into the scratch(depending on how deep) It'll probably have to get sprayed.
3.) If you see a separate color from the normal color, it's definatly going to have to get resprayed
4.) If the scratch isn't deep. Try, getting some very very light sand paper. 2000 grit sand paper, VERY lightly sand it until it's smooth. And then buff it out. If the scratch is still there then it's going to need to get shot.
I wouldn't recomend doing #4 unless you really know what to do. If you sand to much, you could end up making things worse. Same with buffing. Since car paint is so thing it is VERY easy to burn through(aka: going to a different layer of paint).
You could also try going over it with Acetone(though you probably did that when you got the paint off the other car off). Some times the scratch isn't so much a scratch, but just paint rubbed off from the other car.
*shrugs* It's really hard to tell you what to do with out a picture, or seeing the scratch in person

That does suck. Someone keyed my car. Either that or a shopping cart tooled along the side of the right side. I was so pissed. This was during the first year I had my car. I was BS. I have clearcoat silver, so the scratch showed all the way through to the white. Also, when I was loading my bike in the trunk, I put a pretty big ding in on the back bumper. This scratch was much wider. The dealership gave me some silver primer paint, and a clearcoat finish. DO NOT try this option. No matter how careful you are it ends up looking more apparent than blending in! I was like F! The best option would probably be to give it some professional attention. That is probably what I am going to do since I have a lease coming up in a couple of months, and dont want to getscrewed at the stealership...
When i park in a public place I.E anywhere in a big parking lot, i used to seedigs and scratches appear all over the car...I didnt understood why!! always been careful to let a large space between cars[:@]
So somebody told me one day: If your going in the commercial center what are going to do? Walk!!So why dont you take your car a few yards away and go to the end of the parking lot, where is no cars and park at a 45 degrees angle!!
