Default cat upgrade

my Catalytic Converter just split on the turbo side of my car. If I replace it with a test pipe will I pass emissions. Also does the test pipe have a hole for the O2 sensor. If I go with a cat again does any one know of a high flow replacement.

No you will not pass emmisions. There are things you can do to trick your emissions sensors, I'm not sure what they are but unless you do them AND THEY WORK your SOL. I would say safer bet get a high flow cat. Its not as free flowing as a test pipe but way less restrictive then a stock cat. It will give you some more power without having to worry about passing emmisions. I got one from labree motorsports and recommend it to anyone. http://labreemotorsports.com/products_vw.html

thanks, just called labree to order but they said 2 weeks to make. Unfortunatly mine is broke and can't wait that long. I'll search for another company that sells high flow cats.

For passing emissions, how exactly do they do that? I've never dealt with that yet.

Because my guy told me he can get a test pipe in for me and have the check engine light not on, by upgrading my current APR software.

Why is this hi flow cat from miltek $550 more than the one from labree - is it just because its miltek?
