RE: CEL:0170
you sorted the problem but you need a diagnostic tool to clear the CEL

RE: CEL:0170
I replcaed the vacum line cleared the codes and then they came back yesterday

RE: CEL:0170
Fuel trim malfunction.
If not a vacuum leak, it could be the MAF. |
RE: CEL:0170
How would i check the maf senser or should i just replcae it and hope

RE: CEL:0170
If you decide to replace the MAF, get a remanufactured one.
www.ecstuning.com If you have more than 115K kilometers on the current one replace it. |
RE: CEL:0170
how did you clear the codes??? just removing the ground wire doesnt clear the codes (it leaves soft codes in the memory) so when you start the engine pop you have the CEL again, there is a little cheat here remove the ground wire turn the ignition on and switch the headlights to full beam this depletes the computer of all power but has to be left for approx 20 minuets don't quote me on that Ive never done it on an Audi

RE: CEL:0170
i used snapons scan tool to read clear the codes. I dont have the proper programing to use the scanner as a trouble shooter.
|
RE: CEL:0170
snap on is a name only there are many on the market for a tenth the cost, if the code came back up what was it?? VAG software is no better at determining the fault, the code counts

RE: CEL:0170
sanpon is what my school carries its still the same code p0:0170
