Searching this forum brings up this link:

http://www.bentleypublishers.com/tec....dtc.table.htm

According to that link, P1417 is also called "17825" which means "fuel level sensor circuit signal too low". What it means beyond that will probably take some investigating. What are the symptoms you're seeing? Rough running? Hard starting? Lack of power? More info beyond this will help narrow down the cause of the CEL.

yeah the car has been surging like that for awhile but i have been away for a couple months. came home the wife said something. so i did alot of stuff to figure it out, still unsolved. the cel just came on today she said concerning this issue. i only replaced the hoses i stated in that threadexcept for the hose that goes from the intake manifold to the fpr.

The FPR could be the problem, or possibly one of the hoses connected to it. I'd inspect (or just replace) the hoses going to it and maybe just do the FPR as well - I doubt it's incredibly expensive. If that doesn't fix it, it's not like doing the FPR replacement is necessarily bad - it's one more part changed that will then be unlikely to fail for quite awhile.

No problem and good luck with it - make sure to follow up on what you find and maybe it'll help someone else along the way later on.
