my first CEL light
today while i was driving to skewl the CEL came on and scared the shiet out of me
when i get to skewl i pop the hood and see that my G12 coolant level was low
i stood there an prayed that this was the reason for the check engine
after skewl i got some Audi coolant filled her up but the CEL didnt go away
i drive to my uncles shop to get a diagnotic but he left his AUDI programmin at home[:@]
after that i drop by pepboys and then an AUTOZONE to get a crappy diagnostic
but they told me they dont do that anymore[:@]
then i went to a random euro mechanic and they didnt serve audis
so im driving back from LA stuck in traffic i havent had a thing to eat or drink the whole day
im pissed at my car thinking damn those G35s and 350Zs are lookin mighty good

my damn car is pissing me off, this been a bad month for my car
i wouldnt mind selling my car and get a G35 or the new IS350 or somehting rite now[:@]

and i still dont know what my car is bittchin about

 

First CEL? Mine comes on every other week if it makes you feel better...and to top it off my airbag light has been on for about a month. I thought you had to reset those with a VAG-COM. I always understood that they didn't reset themselves but you probably know more about it than I do...

 

they should have a built in VAGCOM thing for the trip screen where it displayes whats wrong wit the car
let the car bittchh and moan about its problems

instead of making us wonder OMG CEL wuts wrong, its serious or is it small
to much unneed stresss

 

lol my cel was always on, if it went off then i got worried, and my airbag light was on cus i didnt have a front passanger seat for a long time, my dash became known as the chrismas light dash it was kinda neet looking

 

Well you might get a CEL from low coolant. On the expansion tank there is a coolant sensor which checks the level of your fluid if it gets to low then on the trip screen it will display the coolant water sign and it will take up most of the display, at least this is what has happened to me on my b5. How low was your coolant past the min. mark on the expansion tank?

 

ya it was like a lil under an inch below the min line but i refilled it
do i have to clear the CEL or will it go away

i hope thats the reason for the CEL but i kinda doubt that i bet theres soemthing else wrong wit my Audi

 

im not trying to worry you panda but coolant levels are supposed to stay steady. if you need to fill it that means theres a leak somewhere. lets just hope its a hose.

 

It could possibly go away but there will still be a fault code when you VAG it. IF you were low on coolant you may have a leak somewhere, normally it just doesn't get low.

i check there was no leaks, i dont think the coolant is the problem i say theres something bigger problem lerkin in my engine
