CEL is a bitccch

Hmm, either a hose leak or gasket leak somewhere. Just hope its not the head gasket, you would burn the coolant and your car would smoke a little, it would be a whiteish gray smoke.

I HIGHLY doubt that the coolant level was the source of your CEL... as there is a coolant level sensor that is specific, with its own display on the dash...
But seriously, thinking about moving to infinity over a CEL? Could be a cheap *** O2 sensor (probably is!)
And you never have to freak out about a CEL... 99% of the time it's an emissions related issue... unless you freak out about polluting, don't worry about it! You sound like you must harbor some mighty big ulcers panda!
Count backwards from 10... your in your happy place...
im not positive, but can't you unplug your battery, wait 20 min and the code should clear? You will have to reset your radio... but cheap way of reseting cels. I know they work with Lexus, not entirely positive with out cars. Maybe worth a shot?
Two months I had a CEL and the VAG COM keeps saying lean. So, I thought it was my hoses, so I changed them all. CEL still there, so I had enough of worrying and all that so I took it to the dealer and they diagnosed it as MAF and cam shaft tensioner. Now, the CEL is gone and I am broke.
VAG it and checked for the MAF display, mine was outside the window of normal. Most CEL are due to emission imbalance. You probably have a hose leak to O2 sensor malfunction.

If you don't have a driveability issue, it's most likely the purge regulator valve. The description will be "incorrect purge flow". Replace the purge regulator solenoid if that is your code. when you replace the valve, check it by smacking it against a light colored surface if black powder comes out either end, you have a deteriorating charcoal canister too (replace it or you'll have to keep buying valves as they get clogged with charcoal). That is what I've seen as most common on A4's. The vlave is expensive, and the canister is very evpensive. So make sure that your CEL is for that reason before you throw parts at the car. The CEL won't come on from your coolant or oil being a little low, that is why your car has a "Low Coolant" warning light and an "Oil below min. Level" warning light. The CEL is only for emissions related problems. Your coolant being slightly low normally won't affect your emmisions. Unless it is being burned off in the engine and clogging up the 02S. Just get the CEL scanned. I'm pretty confident that you'll pull the code above.
Sounds to me like your flux capacitor's surge line has become eratic. When this condition occurs, it not only will give you a CEL, it will also involuntarly douche your G12 resevoir. The end result is a cooked capacitor cell and your power steering pump's voltage will drop to only 13.9er gigawats. Of course this is well bellow the U.S.'s standard of recomended flux to Gigawat ratio. Just think, if you only kept the correct pressure in your thermo modulator, could have avoided all this. Jeez.
