Default CEL help B7 A4

2007 Audi A4 2.0T FSi Quattro
I got this car in Dec 2006. Drove it around for a few days and CEL went on at approx 600miles. I called the dealership and they said it was the fuel cap not being presurized because I recently got gas. Told me to bring it in that following Monday and it would take about 15mins to fix. Brought it in between classes and what they said that would take 15mins took 3hrs. The CEL came on for low-boost. They wanted to diagnose it some more but I was already late for class so I took the car and scheduled another time to drop it off. But the CEL never went on again. So I assumed everything was fine.

2400 miles later I did a few modifications. And CEL went on again. This time for system rich and high-boost. lol This ECU cant make up it's mind. The tuning shop that does all my mods, KMDtuning in NJ, told me it was a faulty fuel pump and that it was a warranty issue. So I schedule an appointment w/ the dealer. They denied even seeing the car once they saw the mods I've done. They automatically blame it on KMDtuning and that they should fix it. It's understandable, but I wanted them to prove that the mods I've done, caused the CEL to go on. And I was denied. One of the sale's personnel told me that in another dealership was having problems w/ low boost and high boost, system rich w/ a few of their cars. So I schedule an appointment w/ them.

But yesterday the CEL went off by itself. Now I know this ECU is self adapting to the driver and environment and shii but cot damn. Im; wondering if the CEL will turn on again now. I mean I hope it does so I can finally fix w/e was effecting the CEL to go on in tha first place.

A lot of people in this forum are telling me it's either the BOV or the high-flow catalyst. I actually had KMD test that out. They checked the cat and it was fine and they said the BOV should make your system run leaner if anything, but not rich.

Since everyone was saying it was the BOV, I was planning on taking it off and erasing the CEL to see if it'll go back on. But the CEL went off by itself now. I know this forge bov is only a spacer and shii that vents to atmos, but doesnt it also recirculate some air back to the airbox? If everyone thinks it's so bad, then I'll just go w/ that DV i saw on ECS.

Let me know guys. I appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

go with the bov, that is the full reason why the cel came on in the first place, Audi's have aclosed loop system which means u need a dv instead of a bov to recirculate the air back into the intake.. the Forge 007 i hear is good. try it i'm pretty sure from what you've stated that is the problem

yes the BOV is your problem and its causing you to run rich and its proably not holding boost correctly

Am I understading you correctly that you have one of our FSIT spacers on your car? We make two models:
http://www.forgemotorsport.com/conte...oduct=FMDVFSiT
http://www.forgemotorsport.com/conte...roduct=FMFSITA
The second is adjustable, the first is fully atmospheric.

If your CEL was a low boost issue it shouldn't be a problem with the spacer unless one of the bolts is loose or one of the o-rings is damaged. The spacers only vent when the ECU triggers the factory valve, this should only happen in vacuum so boost levels aren't affected. Honestly I cannot imagine a scenario where the spacer would cause your car to run lean.

Replace the BOV with the oem dv (what i told you to do before you created this thread), erase the code, and then see what happens.
