last week, my CEL came on, then the next day it dissapeared...now a week later it came back on....

im planning on getting it diagnosed soon, but i was wondering if you guys had any idea on what it could be to set it off and on?

 

I once had the same problem with my car and i had the CEL checked and it turned out to be he gas i was putting so i switched gas stations and of course kept using 91 octane and the error went away and no more CEL light

 

what station were you going to? ive been using BP, for the longest time, but ill make a switch and see if anything happens

 

I used bp after it took over Texaco in our city but now I am hooked on Shell

 

check codes before you make fuel choices theses cars are designed to run on low octane rating, just about any thing can turn the CEL light on but as long as it goes off the problem is minor and will clear on drive cycles if not then a diagnosis will be required

 

the shell sations around where i live in west michigan are horrible my neighbor filled his bike up and it starte runin like crap so he emptied the gas and after it all settled a nice lil portion of it was water
