The story is I bought my car with no switchblade remote fobs, just two regular keys.

The dealer can't help me find the correct one for my car so I'm now going for the option of buying a 'remote' add-on to and existing central locking system off good old eBay.

So I have one of these kits now and it needs to hook up to the central locking open and close circuit in the drivers door (or where I'm actually going to put it is in the drivers footwell where spaghetti junction is (for all you guys in the UK lol).

So I was wondering if anyone had a central locking wiring diagram or anything like that so I can find out the correct colours for the wires that I need?

not quite sure but I would suggest finding a dealer that know what key fob will work for your car.

 

cheers, i just get fed up with the dealers, they are useless round here.

go to www.vagparts.com, scroll down the page and you'll see the the A4 section. in that section, there is a link named "Remote locking kit". Click on it

 

nice one that looks perfect, simple plug-in job too.

shame I bought a different kit a couple of days ago! think I found which wires I need to cut into now. Think it is the brn/gry or red/brn for the "lock" and the gray/white for the "unlock".

the kit I bought comes with two switchblade keys and the "brain" for £35.
