Default Changing Xenon Bulbs

I checked and believe my car's equiped with HID's. I check under the hood and there's a voltage warning and when I turn on the car with my lights on the light goes down than up by it self. So I'm correct that I have them right?

What temp are the stock HID's at normally? 4000k? Would it be possible to go with something hotter. Say 6000k? And if so, what would be the best brand in doing this?

From the way you describe it, sounds like you have xenon. I believe 4300k is stock. I personally have 6000k and I love it.
