Chip Pros and Cons
 

I have been considering a chip for my 2001 1.8t. I have heard good and bad things about chipping a car, could anyone possibly give me the pros and cons to chipping and if it could possibly harm the engine or electronics in any way?

Pros: increased performance, a lot more fun to drive

(cant imagine my car w/o my APR 93 program)

Cons: about $500, influences you to drive more aggressively, which would be alright, but not w/ these gas prices.

Pros - Your car wont be as slow as a mini-van anymore.

Cons- None IMO .. just gunna burn more gas cause you will be driving harder :)
