chip question???

Default chip question???

i have a 2002 audi a4 1.8 t fwd...i am sorry if this is a stupid question..i wanted to chip my car and called a local tampa audi shop..i asked him about chipping the car and he said he could do it for 70.00..does this sound right??can he do it..do i have to buy a chip because he said i didn't and that he justs adjusts the ecu..i am supposed to go in the morning so please leave me some info..thanks...

you get what you pay for 70 dollars?.... if you come to my house tomorrow and give me 70 bucks i will tell you your car is chipped and throw in a free kick to the nuts

that sounds abut right...
call tap1 they are in fla www.tap1.com
i think they may work with older models b5 or 6
or ecstuning.com get the apr chip..
there many, but think in the 4 to 5 hundred range

Ok, I gotta ask. I was looking at APR chips the other day and they were $599. Is it possible to do a chip for $70. This is suspect?

no such thing as a $70- chip...

you gota spend..
but you will be happy.
i had my car for 8 years before i did mods.....I LOVE IT AGAIN, maby for 8 more.

spend the money, do it right, and you will be happy.

Yeah I think thats what he meant. $70 is still a pretty steep install fee. I assume he is charging you with the shop hourly rate?
