can't u just plug the new lighter in to the old housing? Or does the housing not work? Also, u should try and stop smoking and if u are trying no lighter in ur car would help u out

oo i c. Good fro u to not smoke. Its always good when u plug your power invertor and then u can play with any electronics in ur passenger seat.

The ashtray assembly comes out. Pull out the little tray inside. Underneath you'll see two holes with metal tabs inside. Take two screw drivers and press down on the tabs and the whole assembly pulls out. Then you'll see what to do.

I hope you tried replacing the fuse already, an acc socket is pretty simple I cant imagine that breaking. Unless of course you dropped something inside it.
