Is it true that once you do the diy clear corner mod you can paint the orange signal bulb silver and it will still blink orange? If so, what kind of silver paint or spray to use? And is there a clear signal bulb out there that blinks orange? If someone can answer those 2 questions for me I really would appreciate it, thanks in advance.

 

yes, just make sure you use a high temp spray paint, and only do one light coat

the bulbs that you can buy are called S-Yo bulbs, and they are pretty pricey (~30 bucks iirc)

i'll run by an auto store and give it a try in the morning. i cant swing $30 bucks for those s-yo light bulb right now. so one light coat until the bulb is silver will work?

 

Engine Enamel Duplicolor works very well. Its an aluminum color. Just make sure when you apply the paint on the bulb to put a VERY thin layer on it. It goes on pretty thick but just a bit will do the trick. Make sure you mask off the area of the bulb that you are NOT painting too, you dont want to get paint anywhere but the bulb.

ECStuning.com provided me with clear bulbs that blink orange when I bought my Ecodes. Might want to give them a call.
