Default Coilover QUESTION

So i bought Koni Coilovers used and they are in great condition. I am wondering what parts should come with the set and what tools i will need to install them. The reason i ask is because there are no tops to the set so i will have to compress the springs to put them on the shock. Do i use the stock hats or tops or w/e they call them?

Hmmm.....

Coilovers are supposed to be one opiece, like these :

Looks like you bought koni struts and springs.

They should be one piece, unless they took them apart for some reason.

I would replace the stock strut mounts while you are in there... might as well. I thinkits cheap and theold onesmight start squeeking once you get those on there.

correct me if I'm wrong I dont even have upgraded suspension...

oh u mean just replace the oem ones... okay i thought u meant aftermarket ones.

are these the two items i need. the 1st i beleive is the strut mount and the second is the bumper peice that goes in the middle of the shock. Please correct me if i am wrong or do not need these or if i need more then just these

I would call Koni directly or the previous owner and tell them what the current state of the coilover is and what needs to be done before they can be installed.
