Default conflicting information

i have been getting conflicting information about this whole clutch crap. so hopefully some people here can clear things up

1. Audi dealership told me there is and i quote "absolutely no way a slipping clutch can damage a flywheel". i described my situation and they said i dont need a new flywheel. people here have told me the exact opposite.

2. my friend said a stage 3 clutch will burn out much faster than a stock clutch would, but another friend said that was bullshit. who's right?

3. a guy told me that my flywheel only needed to be resurfaced not replaced. is this true?

reason why i wana get all this figured out BEFORE i open up the tranny is cuz i can get the clutch put in for next to nothing down in south florida but i can only be down there for the weekend cuz of college so i gota order the parts beforehand.

My friend has a stage 3 clutch and FW and doesn't have any problems with it (he has had it over a year now). His car is still stock.

thats pretty nifty lett me corect my self. if you get a clutch that is designed for how power and you dont have high power the grab tendency of the clutch will be to great and will make driving unbearable and might mess up the clutch

theres noway to tell if the flywheel is damaged without gettin in ther and seein it. also im not sure the machine shop will resurface it because of a piece of rubber on it i think if i recall correctly. so i think you are kindof outta luck on the whole weekend thing... also wher are you planning on getting your flywheel resurfaced and everything put back in all on a weekend... sounds like an annoying ordeal and you'll be stuck outta school for a few days.
