Default Confusing noise.

Okay, when i acellerate, and the boost is above 2 or 3 psi, i hear a "wshhhhhhhhhh" noise. I just got my APR chip today, and it still makes the same noise, just louder when the boost is higher. I initially thought it was a boost leak, but it seems to hold the pressure fine (i cant know exactally because it made this sound even when i bought the car used). Now i think that all it is is the air rushing through the intercooler (because that is where it is comming from)

If anyone else hears this noise or knows about it, please help.
-Thanks

Default RE: Confusing noise.

has it been fitted with a new exhaust?? did they use sealant, a common problem with the turbo engine is the power it thrusts hence the noise from any leak in the exhaust

Default RE: Confusing noise.

It has a new borla exaust, but it had the original stock exaust when i bought the car and it made the noise then.

And it doesnt sound like an exaust leak, just high pressure air rushing over a non aerodynamic surface, like the air rushing through the intercooler.

The boost seams to be fine, from 2nd to 5th, it peaks sround 3k RPM then tapers off around 4.5-4.7k rpm
