Default contorl arm,wheel bearing.pretty confused

ok so i know it has been asked and i just searched for 30 min. i am still confused. Well its finally getting warm and my car is squeaking so bad i really can't stand it. its like metal and metal noise but i can't really describe it. That is the lower control arms isn't it. what does a bad wheel bearing sound like? I would get a video of the noise but have no cammera at the moment. I live in rockford IL so i would take it somewhere to see whats wrong but the dealer is a obvious no and i don't know of a audi shop around me there is Renn Hart near chicago but that is a lil far.

If its a controle arm, you should be able to make th noise in your driveway by bouncing the car A bad wheel bearing sounds like really bad out of wack tires.

the squeaking sounds more like upper control arms I think. wheel bearings make a squealing noise when they're bad.

DIY SON!!!

I don't know your year / mileage, but if you have at least one that has gone bad, a few of your others may not be far behind. When I got one bad control arm, I bought and replaced all eight control arms and sway bar links. It seems expensive, but think about this: If you pay some guy to change a control arm or two and then 3 months later you are back in the same spot with all this squeeking, you are going to have to pay him again to rip it all apart. Uppers are more of a pain to do. You def don't want to pay double labor.

All 8 control arms and sway bar links and tie rod ends will cost you $560 +shipping. Few hundred maybe for install. $100 for an alignment if you DIY but included in install price if you have someone do it. I did mine myself and it was a pain but only because my car lived its whole life in the salty north. If everything hadn't rusted so bad it seized, it would have been a relatively easy install.

DIY was my plan but the right side control arms look new like they were already replaced maybe by the last owner. maybe under that bad control arm "recall". so i dont wanna replace them all but to replace just one side upper and lower it cost the same as a full 8 arm kit so if im going to replace all the left side ones then i will by a kit and have the passenger side ones just in case. but i really just want to replace jus the bad control arm or w.e the bad part is since im a little tight with money at the moment

Suck it up and get this kit: http://getcoolparts.com/epcksoap.epc...d=getcoolparts

In the long run you will have saved $$ and the quality is way better than OEM or whatever Audi would have replaced under any recall.
Meyle parts make me

Dont forget the "audi006" coupon code for 5% off, and of course you get free shipping
