Default Coolant?

Alright don't hate on me if this has already been answered, (it says newbie for a reason.) My A4 1.8t, recently has not been able to hold coolant, the only weird thing is i dont have any noticable leaks. I had the system flushed about a month ago, after noticing it looked like oatmeal, afterwards i got in my car a few mornings later and had a low coolant indicator come on, i took it down had the local shop to top me off. after contacting audi they said it may of been a bubble in the lines, but just this morning i had the low coolant indicator come on again. all in all this has happened about 3 times now, but i have no clue where im loosing the fluid too. any suggestions, i've searched coolant on the forum and found nothing pertaining to my problem.

How does it run otherwise? If you have a bad head gasket that can let oil into the coolant (oatmeal looking-i guess?) and vice versa. Check your oil level to make sure the coolant isnt making its way there from a bad head gasket.

The car runs fine haven't had it run hot or anything, in term of the coolant looking like oatmeal, i meant in texture, it was still pink colored. The coolant has been more of a pain than a problem, im just afraid i may be running up to mammoth in the middle of the 395 somewhere, and i don't want to break down. I'll check the oil to make sure i dont see any coolant, but i know theres no oil in the coolant at least.

Id do a flush and see what happens. Dont know what to tell you if there are no visbible leaks. My only other guess would be a bubble in the system.

Yeah, if its not leaking at all, then its got to be air in the system if it keeps getting low.

Its just not all the way full yet.

Otherwise you should see a leak.

Or, your headgasket is leaking and you're loosing coolant there. Check the oil for cloudiness. You would have more noticable problems (or will) if this is the case.

when you say no visible leaks.. did you have somebody check it out? or did you just look under your car where you parked it?

I've looked under the car, and in all the underbody plastics. no audi techs. have looked but i did tell them of my problem and they said last time it should be all good, but as you can see they didn't figure it out. but ive looked in the space where i park and looked for like colored dried up puddles in the plastics and even had buddies look under as i pull away to see if its getting caught in the underbody plastics and spilling out as i drive away. the dealership, im not sure if they're beating around the bush because the car is still under warranty, and they don't want to tell me straight forward answer to what might be causing this. but the car runs fine, its just very annoying to fill up the coolant everyother week or so.

If you are refilling the coolant that often there has got to be a leak.
