Cornering affecting coolant???
Whenever I take my 97 A4 1.8T on a fast corner I get a warning signal beeping from the electronic dash readout which flashes the coolant symbol warning. Can ANYONE explain why I am having this problem? Should I be getting my coolant checked or something?
Also, whenever I press the check car button (same as clock button) to check my car, the check goes through fine with no warning about coolant. Help please. Thanks for your time. |

Yes get it from the dealer
As for fixing it, look for leaks |
RE: Cornering affecting coolant???
My 96 does it every now and then. It doesn't leak or isn't low and will only do it on a fast hard corner or if I'm playing a little too hard in the dirt. :D

RE: Cornering affecting coolant???
now it does it when im taking a corner at about 40. My question is: Is the Audi's coolant supposed to last the entire life of the car? Or will the coolant of all cars run low at some point after so many miles?
My 97 A4 has 120k on it. Should I be looking for a leak? Or is it possible that after my mileage it is just running low? |
RE: Cornering affecting coolant???
coolant should be checked as often as possible (water evaporates with heat) and changed every 2 years with a 50/50 mix antifreeze

RE: Cornering affecting coolant???
your coolant level is probably a little low. you'll have to get it from a dealership or euro tuner shop. make sure you get "G12" coolant.
