couple mechanical problems

well since your running higher boost without a colder plug you probably need to gap them down a bit...im running 14pis on my MBC, and it was doin the same thing...i gapped them to .030 it runs much better in result...give it a try

your starter is located on the passenger's side on the bottom of the motor. You have to take off the belly pan to get to it. Measure the voltage to the starter by placing the red lead on the big red wire on the starter solinoid, and place the black lead on any ground you can find on the car.
It should be at least 12.5V's. Keep it there and have someone crank then engine and see what the voltage drops to. It shouldn't drop below 10V's. If these are ok replace the starter.

ya i know cincy, but thats what worked for me, i know my stuff, just not particuarly the 1.8t yet...most of what i dont know is specific to the 1.8t engine.
