crashed =(
yesterday driving to school in the morning around 8 30. Wasnt paying attention went over the top of a hill only to see the traffic stopped on the other side, and smashed into the back of a honda civic at about 40 mph. her car is crushed, my car didnt look too bad.. bumper is gone, one head light broken, windshield broke from the air bags, and i think the left side of the front end of my car is messed up because it was hard to open my driver side door to get out. also my hood bunched a little ( will have pics tommorow ).
my car still ran though the guy drove it onto the flat bed to be towed. but their was something comming out of the bottom of either my car or hers, wasnt really sure what that was. but im just waiting to hear from the insurrance company how much damage was done and weather my car is totalled or not.
Any1 know how to figure out what the value of my car is to an insurrance company? specifically family farm auto insurrance. or just a ruf estimate, 2001 audi a4 with 61k on it.
ugh

best advice is to look at the market in your area and see if there is a car simlar to yours
now what they do is take the blue book value, and add any slight modifications to the car
that you can prove either though reciept or through pictures, and they only do add-ons such
as rims and tires, and your stereo system, nothing else..
so do the KBB on your car, and that's the number to start with
but remember that they have to base a number for your car for your area, so they can't say
"hey here's your exact car for cheap, like 300 miles away" they have to do it based on your area
and be sure to keep on them with constant calls, ive gotten a nice fatty check for my car within 2 weeks

that only works if u reported the aftermarket part add ons to them, if not there not gonna cover it

Most insurance companies use NADA pricing, not KBB. You might get a slightly more accurate number with NADA.
Totalled my A4 in April, a 99 2.8Q, insurance payed 11,700 for that. Fell asleep and bounced off a guard rail, damage didn't look too bad on that either. Im guessing if you had trouble opening your door, your car is done.

So would a new head unit + install an amp and a sub count? but the amp and the sub can still be removed. and i think the head unit is fine too. Also what about new breaks/battery?
i have pics on my cell fone i cant figure out how to get them online though.. if someone doesnt have a pic fone i could send them the pics, and then they could go to www.vzwpix.com and upload the pics and post them for me... unless any1 else knows a way to do it..
