Default Cupped tires

I have read that cupped tires are usually caused by bad struts. I bought my A4 last year knowing the tires were cupped on the rear of the car and I knew I would be replacing them soon. The car seems to handle great and I don't see any signs of failed struts (leaking), so I am wondering if there is anything else specific to the quattro Audi that would cause cupping- such as wheel bearing? If I were to replace the struts should I replace all 4, and if I am looking to stay close to stock or maybe somewhat better, what would be a good replacement? Finally, what is everyone's choice of tire for the summer season- I'm currently running 205/55/ZR16 Dunlop Sport 8000E and the car is a 1.8T sport quattro.

Just because the shocks arent leaking doesnt mean they arent bad. They should be warm after a test drive. If they are cold you are getting no dampening and if they are hot they are binding.

[sm=alcoholic.gif] ( i just wanted to use that smiley) ive got cupped tires real bad too. most performance tires are prone to cupping..its just a way of the tire.
