G'day mate, I'm planning to do an APR Stage 1 chip at the very minimum. At this stage I'm undecided about doing a Stage 1+ with injectors or an exhaust because my car still has 2 years/38000 miles of factory warranty to go. Since you have an 05, your car must still be under warranty, right? Did you have an issue with your warranty when you put an intake and injectors in your car?

nope not yet but if ur engine decides to blow up for no reasonthey will blame it on ur parts.so if that happens take it to the person u got ur parts and have themput thestock stuff back on b4 u go to the dealer ship but that most likly wont happenbut the exhaust is actually better for ur car cause if ur cant breath the chip wont have as much of an affect and will actually work ur engine harderand if u want better handling put some bilstein coilovers under there for sure

Question:
Are either one of these quattro, and are they tip trans or manual? I re-read a few times, dont see any mention of this. |

Yep, both are quattro and 6sp.

How much money are you willling to spend? If I could afford to do anything, I think a supercharged 3.0l would be the wayto go. That or buy a s4 or even better a rs4.

I am biased towards the 1.8t because of the modding potential, but i do agree that if you have the means, the v6 with a supercharger would be a nice setup. Of course that would void your warranty probably anyway, so its really a tossup.
Both look like fine cars. Have you made a choice on these yet? |

Gday acetrebo, I'm actually at the dealer picking up the 1.8 now. I'm paying about $19k for the car + $4k trade. I thought of an S4 but I'm paying cash and don't want to get financing at 7% so this is my limit for cash. Besides I want to get an S5 in a couple of years so happy with my choice! :)

Congrats, on your choice. Post a better picture or two once you get her home and cleaned up.
Looked like a great deal, low miles and all. |
