distilled water?

why do you need to mix the coolent with distilled water? im out and i need to put more coolent in. also one you you with the bentley manual want to tell me were the engine block coolent bleed valve is? i dont get my bentley until saterday and i have air in my coolent system. thanks

also could you boil some water or something?

distilled water has no minerals or calcium(hard water).distilled keeps things clean.at any grocery store.cant just boil water.

Yah it's cheap. I did 1:1 pentosin to water after my TB change. Distilled!!

yea i know its cheap ive been using it but im just to lazy to make a trip into the store and buy it. but yea you can buy it almost any grocery store aRIF probably even some gas stations

honestly using reg water really dosent hurt the engine and isnt a big deal, i agree it does keep things clean, mainly your radiator more than anything else but walk into any repair shop,dealarship, practically anywhere that repairs cars and take note how many are using distilled water, my bet would be about every 1 out of 100. just isnt very practical to have such large amounts of distilled water around, but on the other hand its your own car so if you want to make the trip go for it.

Doesn't mean you shouln't do it though. 80cents for a gallon of distilled deionized water. Come on it's a no brainer. Those deposites bond with the aluminum and can become corrosive.

u wouldnt cheap out by putting 87 octane in ur car and spend at least $5 more per fill up to use 93 octane or 91. so why cheap out on 80 cents of distilled water....
