My friend has the program and he hooked it up to my car but it wouldn't make any changes to my ecu. He said he spoke with someone who said they don't make the program for my car but its not like i have a new car. Does anyone know about this?

Im pretty sure V-Tune was a Volkswagan only product through APR. I am not aware of this being offered on your B5 or any others like the B6 or B7. I did a quick search on their website www.goapr.com and was able to find information under their VW section but not the Audi section.

Well as far as I know you have to get a chip soldered to the ECU for the 2001 like the previous years. It's not like the later ones where you can just reprogram it. So I seriously doubt you can just hook something up to it and change the program.
