well my 1.8T is a 2001 so it came with 170 HP stock....

my GIAC chip put me up to 210 HP
a Borla exaust will add 15... 225 HP


now the K04 is listed as 235 HP (with a free-flow exaust REQUIRED, i.e. the Borla)
adding the extra 15 horses for the Borla it's only getting me 250 HP
but yet it's a $2,000 (approx.) mod. !!!

I just posted about this, with a ko4 ur paying for the extra hp, its the torque, most ko4 setups make well over 300ft/pd, ive seen ones that made over 350ft/pd. And the 0 to 60 times are down in the high 5s.

 

If thats not enough you can always get an elim for like 2k.

 

you dont need to spend 2 grand on the K04 for your car

turbo alone can be found for $700.00 new

fpr $80.00

update GIAC software $200.00

bam you got a K04 setup for less than $1000.00

 

are u forgetting he TQ, you gonna have alot of TQ wit a K04
but if u really want some real horse power in your car u can do this

 

Thats one hp, u can gain that by pokeing a hole in ur airbox with a dremel.

 

if u want more.. for 4k.. get the PES-t28 (380+ hp). bam.. now thats worth it....heh.

phroztbyt3, No offense bro, but maybe u should sit back and read up, i have seen countless post of yours that sound like ur talking out ur ***. The pes turbo kit puts out about 270hp, ur about 110hp off.




btw- Dave, yeah im making over 300ft/pd. The giac pc16/j31 are capable of over 350ftpd, on pump.
