i was told dunlop tires are problemmatic and the sound i am hearing at 7000 miles is cupping or feathering of tire....told to switch to pirelli zero nero...any help will be appreciated

 

I run Dunlops SP Super Sport Race, there competition DOT tire and i counldnt be happier, i can take corners and stick like glue, how ever they suck ***** in the rain, infact on the tire they say dont drive in rain o well, ill just have to be safe.

 

which model dunlops. i am running sp sport a2's on my a6 avant and my chevy. im satisfied with them on both cars.

 

I'd consider Firestone Firehawk WideOvals... or Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-3's... both are awesome summer tires, the wideoval is newer, but the GSD-3 is a proven performer...
Also check tireracks survey, and just see which tires ranked best in the categories most important to you, like noise, treadewear, wet traction etc.

 

i have dunlops on my 18's and there loud, its really annoying

how do you like them, i have not had a chance to drive them in wet conditions have you. it might rain tomorrow so i will have to take them out for a spin so that way if im cought off guard i will know what to expect
