Default DV ?

Hey guys ,

I have a 2003 1.8T Tip , with 91octane APR chip, and K&N drop in filter.

I have heard that DV's are good for chipped A4's. Is this true? and is there any point of a DV with a Tip tranny ?

And if so , which one would you guys suggest ?

Thanks

you already have a dv, and if it hasn't failed already, it will soon. you need to upgrade your dv to something like a forged 007...if you aren't planning to do many mods after the chip, you can get the 710N dv (stock TT 225 dv) for about 40 bucks at your dealership

What exactly are the benifits of the DV ? And do they still apply with the Tip tranny ?

the dv is a diverter valve that redirects unused boost back into your intake, where as a bov releases the pressure into the atmosphere...the 710N dv has stronger internals that can handle the boost from a chip..

it's not going to increase your performance unless your stock dv is already starting to fail...if your stock dv is fine right now, the 710n or any other dv will feel exactly the same...how long has your car been chipped for?

did you buy the car chipped or did you chip it yourself? after chipping did you feel a noticeable increase in HP? do you happen to have a boost gauge in your car?
