keep trying or pay someone else. It will be as disappointing as giving someone else the salsa jar to get the lid off after you already loosened it.

Yea I think I'm going to the place where I got chipped on Wednesday and just ask them how they get it off. I feel horrible not being able to get a simple vac line off. Damn one use clamps...[:@]

Just undo the dv and if your THAT desperate, just trim the line off just above the nipple. Then you can install the new dv

Cincy, I think you are thinking of the wrong end. I'm trying to get the line coming off the DV that goes up under the manifold. I have no problem with the actual DV, its just that the clamp is impossible to work on underneath the manifold.

If you havnt yet, a flathead can help you pull the line off with the clamp still attached

use two flat head screwdrivers - one from above and in between the intake manifold and the other from below. I've replaced that vaccum line before and I remember it sucked to do it.

Ahh someone else had trouble I feel better. But I think I'll do that, one from the top and another from the bottom.

If your DV vac line is rotted, get ready to have a whole new car when you get it replaced.
I have to cut the clamp off with a pair of dykes.
