Does anyone know how to play DVD movies on the MMI system in the new 2005 Audi A4? I know it is protected due to the new law.

Currently you can't - I don't think anyone has hacked it yet.

I called my dealer today and he told me that their is this chip you have to change from within the stereo unit. He said one of his customers did it for $800. Don't know how credible this is though.

Hmmm...I frequent almost all the Audi forums and have not heard of this "chip" yet. As of right now you can't do it.
