I am planning to buy a 2005-2006 A4 and was pretty impressed with the car overall except for the fact that I was reading consumer reports and there seems to be electrical problems with the car. I was just wondering what types of electrical problems or general problems people find with the A$. Thanks...any help would be appreciated

 

did you think they build these cars with problems???? problems happen even with the best cars so there is no answer to your question

 

I was told the same thing before buying my A4. Within three months its been in the shop 5 times for various electrical and mechanical problems. Even though its frustrating the hell out of me, I still love the car. You just have to decide if your patient enough and flexible enough to deal with it. A 2005 will still have pleanty of warranty left so you shouldnt stress. Also, if you buy a second hand Audi from an Audi dealer you automatically should have 100k extended bumper to bumper. Make sure you mention that when you're purchasing a Pre-Certified car so they dont hose you. Youre covered for all maintenance up to 50k, but after 50k maintenance costs are on you and repairs will have a $50 deductible. I wish I had purchased from an audi dealer...Im debating whether or not to buy the extended warranty.

Either way, the car is amazingly fun to drive. If you want something reliable, get a honda. If you want something with character and class...audi is the way to go.
