I just noticed that my engine whines when my car is ideling and while i'm starting to accelerate. Once i hit second gear it stops, is this normal? I kinda scared me just cuz i hadn't realized it until now and i'm hoping it's not serious.

 

wut do u mean whine? can u get a sound clip? it's hard to tell u wut might be happening. but a supercharger will cause kind of a nice whine lol.

 

it's very faint, it's not too noticeable. I'll try to get one asap.Thx for the help, and i wish it was a supercharged whine. LOL

i have a similar problem. when i start my car, i always let it warm up if its been sitting for more than two hours but lately, even after, it has a gross low key whine/hum. gets much worse when i turn my wheels and my wheel vibes alittle. doesnt affect my acceleration or get worse when i speed up but very noticable when turning.

and since i bought my car about 5k miles ago, whenever i park, the car always rocks alittle, even on flat surfaces. oh, and i drive an '02 auto a4 1.8T quattro. please help, kinda worried. thanks.
