Have 2007 A4Q manual tranny with 24,000 mi. Start it and move a few feet with sudden loss of power, traction conrol and EPC warning lights, disengage clutch with max available RPM of about 800 with bad miss, turn off and restart and all is OK. Dealer read codes with no specific codes. Dealer reprogram ofcomputer with a new version but no idea of what we're trying to fix. Is this unusual? Any others have similar problems?

 

Is your car modified in any way? There is a re flash for the B7' ECU'sso its normal that they would do that. I thought it was due to a random stall/no start issue.

 

No, completely stock. Dealer claims it is a common symptom with brake and accelerator application at same time, but we don't left foot brake or heal-and-toe.
