so im sick of the dtec sitting in my room and i thought i dont wanna use it. so im gonna go giac. but could some of you maybe help me find a giac chip for an 01 a4 1.8t quattro. for a good price. that would be awesome

I called my closest GIAC dealer and over the phone I was told that the chip costs 400$ and labor would be 55$, they said as long as i have an appointment I would be in and out in about 30min or less...this is from Stasis, in sonoma....good luck!...unless you are going used you are definately going to spend at leas 400$ for the chip...I was also told by a local tuner (who is not a giac dealer), that if I bought the chip they would install it (solder it in place) for 60$...by the way, I have a 1998 a4 1.8tqm (so your price may vary?...ionno?)

lol, but seriously dude im so glad your going GIAC and not DTEC (ew, throw up). Just find a local GIAC dealer and call them yourself...
what are you doing with dtec? Are you sure you even bought the dtec already, lol, cuz most of the time I dont get something and let it "sit in my room, and get sick of it" lol.... hurry and get that chip and come back on here with a smily face and apologize to everyone for putting us through the pain of thinking you were going to install DTEC on your car, lol.... if you already have it, post it for sale on a honda forum, maybe even a subaru forum, but keep it away from the classifieds on audiforums.
good luck with the chip and i hope you stay around and keep modding that thing correctly...
