Could some1 help me out ? What are the differances between the Face-lift / Pre Face-lift A4 Avant models ?

Face lift? There has been three versions of the A4 now. Which ones are you talking about? 1999 to 1999.9? 2005 to 2005.5??

Are all the lights / bumpers interchangable between the models up until the "new shape" ?

yes but to go from the two-piece to the one-piece headlights requires a little bit of fender trimming

Would that fender trim be in the engine bay, and not visible from the outside ? I really want to update the looks of my Avante
