Finally, purchased an A4.

Well,

I have been dreaming of this for a long time probably about 15 years, but a slew of other cars have gotten in the way.

its a 2001 B6 you might call them the 2002 in the US? it has about 90000kms on it which is about 57k mi. 5 speed and 2.0

this will be the first 4 cylinder car I have owned, all the others have been 6's or V8's also has leather 17" rims and some optional centre arm rest which I actually found to be annoying while driving.

I haggled with the guy over a goard as its due its 90000 service which is the big one that includes the timing belt and we agreed on a price minus the cost of the service and timing belt replacement. I have done a search and noted the DIY for the timing belt. but that was on a 1.8 are they the same??

I also reckon that its due a set of front discs and pads, which I can change myself and will proably go slotted discs.

pick up is next week. I cant wait. I have a ute ( aussie) that is the first car I ever owned that is currently my daily driver and needs some rust repair, repaint, ( just re did the engine) and front end redone and fit with air and steer. so I plan on doing that while I drive the Audi.

I hope I have done the right thing and I also hope I havent bought a lemon. I know when I took it for a test drive it was a great car to drive, not the brute expreince of my hot rod but a more refined comfortable one.

I am looking at buying a bentleys so I can do the service myself. any suggestions as the best place to get the CD? have seen them on ebay?

heres a photo anyway. its stock at the moment. but I have never owned a stock car, so cant see that lasting for long.

cheers flatoz.
