Use JB weld. It's easy to use and hardens up very nicely.
I used JB weld to fix the splash gaurd under my 300zx, as well as to repair cracks in the lower lip.
It sands well also. Just clamp the piece together and apply, let dry for 24 hrs, and you are good as new.
It costs like $3 for it.
