FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
So I have the option of buying either an FK spring/shock combo, or the H&R/Bilstein combo. I'm not brand loyal to either. They both have lifetime warranties. The FK system is $250 cheaper, though.
Can anyone give me a reason not to go with FK? |
RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
cant give you a reason but h&r and bilsteins will give you some great handling

RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
You think FK wont? Handling and looks are of equal priority for me.

RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
i'm a fan of h&r sports and bilstein sports.(ride, look, handling) i haven't tried fk's tho

RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
I have FK konigsports... They are alright... too soft for me though. I am going to throw some H&R S4 springs on my FK coilovers... haha, lets hope that works... the shocks seem really nice though... I just have to get the dampening right.
I have used an eibach/bilstein combo before, and loved it! Bilstein make awesome shocks. |
RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
go withthe bilsteins and h&rs. trust me, you wont be dissapointed
|
RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
That's not a reason. For all you know FK's are better.

RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
Other than being too soft, I like my FK's. They are made in germany... they seem of high quality. Save 250 and give them a whirl. I don't know if you will get a reply to this from somebody who has tried both...

RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
Yeah, I suppose that's true, Headshok. Just seeing if there were any bits of info about FK that were common knowledge around here.
A friend of mine is an Audi mechanic, and he very much approves of FK, so I'll go with those and use the extra $250 to get them installed. |
RE: FK vs. H&R/Bilstein
Do it yourself! And use the other 250 for... something more fun than labour! Beware the devil bolt, though!
