Flasher
My B5 has a Bose system and every once in a while I see the display flash on and off. Stereo works fine...but has anyone else had this issue?

2 Things, is your cars volts staying up, or does this happen when youve been sitting at a stop light or running the air. If your using more functions, and your losing volts, your battery or alternator. but if its just cutting out when you hit a bumb, take out the radio, and make sure that your wiring harnesses are in all the way in the back, and make sure that youtr ground wire is in securely. Also i would replace the fuse. I work at a stereo shop, and thats just the common symptoms. Other wise your looking at a bad display on your radio, in which you probably wanna take it back to audi, and have them replace, because taking there radios out is really fun by the way. i refuse to work on them, there a bitch.
It happens when im driving and standing still, havent really noticed if it happens going over bumps. The sound never cuts out so ive ruled out a loose harness. Sounds like it might just be a faulty display?
BTW - has anyone had a K04 conversion? What kind of power did you see? My car is going into the shop in two weeks for upgrades!!!

Sort of common with Bose radio units. My bose radio in my maxima does the same thing, and people on maxima.org complain about it too from years between 95 and 01. Now that I think about it, my uncles 04 maxima's bose unit was replaced under warranty for flickering display. Never heard of it happening in an Audi till now though. There is a fix for it on maxima.org, but it probably doesnt apply to the units used in Audi's. But the cause is probably the same though... Something to do with weak sauder points behind the display or something.
