Default Flik FTD's ?

Hey guys-

I'm thinking about getting a set of 17" Flik ftd's from edgeracing.com. I did a search for them, and I couldn't come up with any results (on this forum). Does anybody have any shots of them on an a4, or have any experience with edgeracing? Seems like a lot of people run Flik's, so I'm not worried about that... just any feedback on the actual ftd's or edgeracing would be great. Thanks!

great! thanks! Where'd you get that? any personal experience with em?

And on a side note, they're 18.5lbs each.... does anybody know what the stock 15"s are ? or any size for that matter?

Thanks chaos, that looks great, i love it.

found it by searching the zine. i dont have any personal experience with them but there are a few guys on here with other kinds of flik's and they love them.

i've heard the ftd's are rated at 18.5 lbs but they actually weigh 20 lbs. stock rims without tires are 20 lbs as well

I have 18's, i could tell a difference in accel when i took the stock wheels off. But the looks are kick ***. And i was about to tell you go 18's but those 17s on the audi that Chaos pulled up for you look damn good.

I love that look - nice basic, clean five-spoke wheels sometimes make me wonder why they bother making any other style.

:-D

Glad you guys approve.... i just ordered them, bundled with 225/45/17 Nexen N5000's. Now I know Nexen isn't a major brand, but i did some searching, and it looks like people really like them....

http://club4g.org/board/wheels-tires...xen-n5000.html

found a lot of forums and people saying they love how they hold up, quiet, good wet traction, etc. I've never had nexen's, why not give em a shot... at 60 bucks per, you cant' really go wrong i figure, and if they only hold up for a year, well, i learned a lesson. Seems like they won't, though.

so 99 bucks per rim, 60 bucks per tire, 80 bucks shipping to ny, works out to roughly 720 mounted and balanced.

I'm psyched... though they're only going to accentuate my already horrible wheel gap. I'm getting coilovers very soon... I'm just getting these to run until i put my blizzaks on (so i dont wear them down on the dry all the time).

as with kemp_travis, pics soon.....

1 - anybody have experience with nexens?

2 - anybody have any suggestions on where to get audi center caps that would fit in the wheel? I wonder if it's a standard form factor hole, or what?
