Default Fog Lights on B6 model

Hello everyone,

Today I needed to replace my right rear park light. While I was in there I took notice that there was a spot for a fog light bulb and the housing also had an opening to allow for the bulb to fit. So I bought me a fog light bulb also and installed it. To my disappointment it didn't work. What do I need to do to get this one working?

And to head off all those question I'll tell you why I want this. Every now and again you get the @ss that just has to ride your bumper. With the lights on all I have to do now is turn on the fog lights. He will think I"m hitting my breaks and hopefully back off.

So, anyone have any ideas?

Are you sure your turning them on properly? You have to pull the light **** out two clicks for them to turn on. The first click out would be the front fogs and the second click out would be the rear fogs. The bulbs should have been in there to begin with. I have the B6 as well and mine were in there from day one. When I replaced my blinker back there I noticed the open bulb socket as well, i think its for something else. What it is i do not know.

That's the one. Guess I should have said that part as well but I thought everyone would know what I was talking about because I was replacing the right side park bulb.

I understand this and this is why I want it. I normally do not use the fog lights as the fog here has never been that bad.

Would be great to get those tailgates off your tail.

Turn it on anyway, most people think your other brake light is out anyway

No this will not work. I have seen this one before when searching. The B6 already has the opening in place. It's just that when you flll them with a light they still do not work. I think there is something either in the assembly or there is no power being pushed to that bulb.

I'm going to open both rear lights and look and see if the same number of cables are being connected to them. Maybe that is the only thing, the power for the fog light on the right isn't there and needs to be put in place.
