Default Forge 007 DV in Vacuum Leak Problems Out!!!

Ok,
As most of you know, maybe some of you don't, I posted a thread on here a while ago saying that I had a BAD vacuum leak. Well I replaced all the vacuum lines and it didn't fix it at all. I am planning on chipping my car or going K04 so i decided to get a Forge 007 DV. I found a brand new one on ebay for $100shipped (Yes it is a forge since it came in a forge box and has forge milled out of the top of the valve) and wala! My vacuum leak is gone!!! I am now idleing at -21hg and my boost holds longer and I get a noticable difference in acceleration speed! It feels much faster now! So yeah just thought I would share that with you all. If you have a leak and you have replaced the vacuum lines then try replacing the DV and see what happens!!!

Josh

*EDIT*
Edited for the not idleing thing. It should be Now...

Another way to find out, if you remove the airbox and hear a honking noise or a release while still on the gas you have a bad valve.

its normal to not hold max boost all the way to redline. what happens in the upper rpms range is that your motor is sucking in more air then what the k03 can put out. so naturally your boost will drop. stock you will boost to about 8psi then drop a little bit. if your chiped depeding on chip you will boost somewhere between 14-18psi then it will tapper down above 5k rpms depending on chip and other mods.
