My preference is irrelevant, really.

I think it's best to weigh a few factors before deciding on the right chip.

1. Proximity to dealer/tuner; service is paramount.
2. Reputation and history of chip maker.
3. Type of map desired.
4. KO4 kit (if applicable)
5. Initial cost and upgrade costs

For what it's worth, after considering these points, I went with GIAC. But that suited my conditions/priorities. Everyone is different.

Then you'd be considering points 2 through 5 only, right?

 

I had a apr chip for only 7mth, it was 550 and went and turned around and had to pay giac software, so if you gettin a bigger turbo, keep the same software.

Yea I had to do that too, apr then giac, then giac k04, then giac pc-16, then had to sell it and get atp[:@] Man I wish we had something like the suby guys

 

hey ritt, you still have ur GIAC K04 chip?
luckily i'm getting HUGE help from a friend on the APR, but hope to K04 someday.
