Default TT 225 motor into my 2.8

I found a 225 1.8t TT motor for sale in my area. I was wondering if it woud fit fine in my bay with new mounts and up to my tranny. I hate the v6 now and want turbo. my buddy finally got his supra tt done and i feel like a snail next to a cheetah.. dont want to waste money on the sc because if i did i would just invest in an s4

don’t think it will fit, don’t know much technical stuff about tt, but everything looks a lot smaller and more packed…

the TT is built on a golf platform. that being said, the engine is mounted transversely, whereas our A4's have the engine mounted longitudinally. it won't bolt up, and even if it did you'd be wasting your time.

you say you don't want to spend the money for a supercharger, because you "don't want to waste your time and if you did you'd just invest in an S4". huh? how much money did you think it was going to cost to shoehorn in the TT engine? I can pretty much guarantee that by the time you had it running, you'd have spent much more than what it would cost to get a supercharged 2.8 running nicely.

sell your 2.8. buy a 1.8T. problem solved.

i motor swap isnt as easy as just bolting stuff up, you need all the wiring from the 1.8 car, the ecs, etc etc etc the list goes on and on and on

motor swap in an audi unless you have a parts car, and alot of mechanical/wiring knowledge is a disaster waiting to happen

it can be done, but you need the harness and ecu and time and lots more money. its either a supercharger for the same price or S4, or hell take out a morgage on the house and get and RS4 and supercharge that, pure sex baby
