Front window not clearing
 

Hi air is not reaching my front window via the vents on the top of
my dash when i turn on the blower.
I have a 2004 A4.
I have checked the polen filter it is fine.
all fuses are fine.
I have been told it is a dash out job as it may be a cable problem.
Has anyone had any similar experience , can anyone help or
suggest what could be wrong ??

system needs resetting, press and hold till its all the way down and the same for up, this will be recorded in memory

i think his window is operating fine, it sounds like his defrost is not working.... at least thats what i got from it

Press and hold what techbold, my electric windows are fine .
The mist on my front windscreen not clearing is the problem as FastA4 is correct.
When i put on the blower for the front windscreen the mist will not clear from the front windsreen
as no air is blowing to the front windcreen, its like the wentas are not opening ?
Can ayone help ?

hehe I cant believe I answered that ( I was thinking front door window )[:-]when it is the front windshield not clearing the mist:D, silly me but I would check if the recirculation button isn't switched to inside air because that fogs the window up when its wet out side;)

look at the buttons on the center console and see the button above the ECON button that's the recirculation button

edit: if the switch is on it should light up;)

This switch os normally off .Do you recommend it on or off to prevent mist building up on the windscreen ?
Also this does not correct my problem that no air is blowing from the top
of the dash vents to clear the front windscreen window??

I have the same problem starter today, Blower will not direct to windscreen, everything else works fine. HAd alot of snow later cover the front vents near to windscreen wipers. Would that have something to do with it ? Any help please

i have the same problem a4 cab the fan works fine it seems the flaps dont move so air can blow on window
